Study in Prague

The fully funded PhD in Economics prepares outstanding scholars through demanding coursework and original research under close faculty mentorship. Students benefit from competitive stipends, access to world-class research, and opportunities for international research stays. Graduates build prestigious careers at leading universities, central banks, international organizations, and in the private sector.

The MA in Economic Research is a two-year, full-time Charles University program. It combines economics, data science, and public policy, with a strong focus on practical skills such as coding, data analysis, and professional communication. This small-scale program offers individual student support, financial aid options, and excellent career prospects in government, NGOs, and consulting.

The application deadline for these 2 programs is March 31.

Additionally, CERGE-EI has launched a new Bachelor’s program in Economics of Markets and Organizations , offered in cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration at the Prague University of Economics and Business. This program addresses current challenges such as market concentration and changing economic environments, emphasizing quantitative analysis, real-world case studies, and interdisciplinary learning. Courses are taught jointly by CERGE-EI and the Prague University of Economics and Business.
